奥林MC英语综合知识大赛完美收官

奥林MC英语协会是奥林学院的一个特色精英组织，致力于为奥林学子提供各类精品活动。

Aulin Miracle English Association is a characteristic elite association of Aulin college that mainly organizes English activities.

为了培养新生对英语的学习兴趣，丰富学生课余文化活动，MC协会面向2020级所有新生举办了以“IDENTITY—发现更好的自己”为主题的英语综合知识大赛。大赛已在本周三晚六点于奥林学院举行，大赛采取淘汰制原则，紧扣学术英语教学大纲共设置四轮趣味横生的闯关游戏，共72名大一新生参加了本次竞赛。2020级辅导员黄荠莹、黄旭老师，国际项目中心李彤老师出席本次知识竞赛活动。大赛开始前2020级辅导员黄荠莹老师在赛前鼓励大家发挥竞赛精神，诚信应赛！

In order to cultivate the freshmen's interest in English learning and Enrich students' extracurricular activities. MC Association held an English comprehensive knowledge contest with the theme of "IDENTITY - finding a better self" for all the freshmen of grade 2020. The competition has been held in Aulin college on Wednesday and a total of 72 freshmen participated in this competition, adopting the elimination system and setting up four rounds of fun breakthrough games around syllabus.

第一轮为笔试部分，立足于课本及四级词汇精心设置了35道问题，同学们有的苦思冥想，有的忘词兴叹，有的下笔如有神，安静的教室似乎只听得见同学的呼吸声……经过批改，25名同学通过笔试，其中更是有优秀的满分同学哦。(此处彩蛋：不仅仅是大一的新生，就连大二的学长都跃跃欲试地加入笔试，大家可以猜猜结果怎样呢？) 

The first round was the written test part. Based on the textbook and CET-4 vocabularies, 35 questions were carefully set up. Some students thought hard, some forgot words and sighed, and some wrote like they have a spirit. It seems that only the students' breath can be heard in the quiet classroom After correction, 25 students passed the written test, among which there were excellent full marks students. (Not only freshmen, but also sophomores were eager to join the written test. Guess the result please~)

第二轮较为侧重学生的内心之感，同学们看完关于的视频后，结合自身，小组讨论并进行视频内容复述，在小组讨论中，大家畅所欲言，从不同角度说出想法，分工合作，思想在碰撞中产生新的火花……最后，有十五位同学脱颖而出。

The second round focused on the students' inner feelings. After watching the video, the students discussed in groups and retold the video content. In the group discussion, everyone spoke freely. From different angles to say ideas, division of labor and cooperation, ideas in the collision of new sparks. Finally, fifteen students stood out.

第三轮侧重考察听力听写。经过前两轮的考核，大家对自己有了更清醒的认知，即便被淘汰的人也没有放弃，因为他们明白只有经过挫折的磨砺，成功的果实才会更加甜美。由于大赛设有复活赛制，所有已淘汰的同学们都进入第三轮的复活环节，有一名已淘汰同学直接进入决赛直通车！同学们听完关于identity的音频后进行听写，经过评委们紧张的打分后，六位佼佼者脱颖而出逐鹿奖杯了。

The third round of retelling was conducted to investigate listening and dictation. After the first two rounds of assessment, we had a more sober understanding of ourselves, even the eliminated people have not given up, because they understood that only through the grinding of the fold, the fruit of success will be sweeter. Since there was a revival competition system in the competition, all eliminated students entered the third round of resurrection and one eliminated student entered the finally competition after scored! In the third round, after listening to the audio about identity, the students dictated. After the judges scored , there were only six winners competing for the trophy.

最后一轮是最有挑战性的啦！同学们根据所学知识、所背单词及个人情况做深度自我介绍，在台上的他们有的幽默风趣，有的自信满满，有的即便紧张到不行但仍能看出他眼中青春的光芒与力量……全部介绍完毕后，评委们结合整体语态完成度及连贯性等给出最公正的打分。

The last round was the most challenging one! The students introduced themselves in depth according to their knowledge, words and personal situation. Some of them were humorous and witty, some were full of confidence, and some could still see the light and power of youth in his eyes even though they were too nervous to do. After the introduction, the judges gave a fair score based on the overall voice completion and coherence.

四轮比赛完成后2020级辅导员黄旭老师与国际项目中心李彤老师为获奖个人颁奖并宣布MC学术英语知识大赛优秀班集体!

拿到第二名的名次心里有什么感想吗？

崔文博

因为提交超时的原因，我在第一轮就被淘汰了，首先感受到的是失落，然后是不甘。比赛中最重要的就是以积极主动的姿态去应战，我不认为自己的能力差于别人，于是我在复活赛场中努力争取，最终成功晋级决赛拿到了第二名的成绩。其实在第一轮淘汰组中有许多能力很强的同学，只是没有继续参赛，放弃比赛，丧失了证明自己的机会。我认为机会永远是自己伸手拿过来的，我非常喜欢的一首歌《lose yourself》里开头写到当机会来临时，Would you capture it or just let it slip？如果是我，我会选择抓紧它，证明自己。

你在即兴演讲的部分拿到了很不错的分数，有什么经验分享给大家吗？

第四轮的即兴演讲对同学的英语综合能力有很高的要求，有很多选手上台后无法在短时间内组织语言而十分可惜的落选。我认为，即兴演讲是一个非常有价值的考察形式，这就要求我们在平时应该主动学习英语，拿我自己为例，在平时我会观看TED演讲，并刻意不看字幕尽量听懂演讲内容，在收获知识的同时又锻炼了听力。另外我十分喜欢喜欢说唱，在平日我会循环播放甚至学唱，英文rap十分扩充我的词汇量和听力。  总之，保持积极主动的学习态度，在日常自主学习英语，会使英语综合能力有很大的提升，希望大家可以坚持下去，我们一起努力！

此次大赛紧扣教学大纲设置了四轮趣味游戏，环节设计严谨有序，不仅考察了学生的英语实力，还避免了比赛单调乏味的一贯传统，不仅提升了学生对英语的学习兴趣，还让学生对学术英语的学习态度有了更准确的认知。此次活动更提升了学风，让学生发现乐趣，投入学习，助推学院在未来的学业方面取得更好的成绩。
